Heres Aled with a lettuce that is bigger than him!

We would like to introduce you all to our hard working Interns that are working with us this summer. They are helping us in a variety of ways to bring Breathaboard to the market and are a great part of the Adaptavate team!

Here is what Aled has to say:

I’ve been a keen environmentalist from a young age. After studying at Cardiff University I moved back to my home town in Wales to work with a rainwater harvesting company. During my time there I managed the development of a new trading arm, called Celtic Sustainables, which grew to be a leading retailer of environmentally friendly household and decorating products. Eager to continue learning about the wider environmental issues, I went on to study a masters degree in the built environment, which is when I met Tom and Alberto.

When I heard about the exciting things that Adaptavate were planning for their first product, Breathaboard, I was immediately interested since Breathaboard solves the main problem the majority of my customers at Celtic Sustainables had been facing – the problem of mould and moisture in the home. The product sounded great, and the company was already generating a buzz in the industry.

I’m sure that my internship at Adaptavate will be interesting and varied. Initially I’ll be undertaking projects on the business validation process, in particular researching the supply chain required to bring Breathaboard to the market. I’m particularly excited at this opportunity to utilise my business experience and my environmental knowledge to help Adaptavate succeed in producing entirely new bio-composite materials which have the potential to improve the health of buildings and their occupants.
